Gals, a bit of creative help?

I'm working on a cross stitch piece to hang in my kitchen. Inside the frame of stitched ivy, there will be some sort of saying - be it scripture, a quote, or a fitting saying. I'd prefer it not be too long, as the space available for the words is roughly 4x6 (inches). Or perhaps just a phrase that conjurs up a feeling in a homey and cozy kitchen?

What would you suggest?

And...if you think I thought of those...I didn't. I looked them up in a catalog from uppercaseliving.com. My sister bought me one of their sayings for a house warming gift and I love it!!

"Joy is the holy fire that keeps our purpose warm and our intelligence aglow."

.....Helen Keller

I came across this quote today, and thought it befitting your daily walk (postings)and heart of a kitchen cross-stitch. :)

Candi - "Never enough thyme" made me smile - so cute! But the best help you were was telling me about the catalog. I looked them up online and found something awesome to put in the living room!! (I'd post a link, but the way their gallery is set up, I can't get a direct link to the picture.) Thank you!!

MaineMom - that fabulous quote spurred me on to think: The joy of the Lord is my strength. Thank you! Thanks for giving me the direction! I can't wait to post a pic of the finished product. (Every quote I've ever read from Helen Keller was full of wisdom!)

Glad I could be some help!! They have sooo many things I want.

I do think that you have to purchase from a rep. (like Mary Kay or something). If you can't find one, let me know. It is my sister's neighbor that sells it. It is pretty easy to put up, too. There are directions on the site.

BTW, I have the "Home...where your story begins" one!

I have written several posts about this. My husband and I often say, "Those who feed people lead people."
How's that for a Coughlin quote?
Thanks for visiting me today.
I'm happy to find you, too!
